It has been a long time since I have written on this blog and a lot has happened. I moved to Oregon with my best friend and partner Tim. Due to the injuries to my shoulder and ankle I am no longer able to run dogs all the time, which is why I placed the dogs with my friends in colorado. We lost Delanee about a year ago and it has been very difficult without her. I miss her everyday! We are still paying off her vet bills and any help would be amazing.

Not Again :(

So it has been almost 6 months since I injured my ankle on the glacier. Despite having it a cast for 3 weeks and walking boot for 2 months and a splint since still not healing. I have been doing physical therapy 3x a week since july and its helping but not enough. So now I have to have surgery and 6 + weeks of recovery. I feel defeated and like I have wasted a lot of time!!! I understand doing the conservative method of treatment but wished it worked. I left Alaska to seek the help from a doctor I knew and trusted down here. The doc is the same one who did the surgery on my shoulder.

My dogs are down with me and are doing really well. I have been hooking them up with a few friends teams and they are loving it. They also have a treadmill that I have to block from them so they dont over do it. :)

I will keep you all updated when and how surgery goes

Its been a while

Hey everyone
I am sorry that it has been so long since I posted. So I am in California again but this time its due to my ankle. I could not get a doctor I trusted in Juneau so came back down to the Dr who did my shoulder surgery. I have a torn tendon in my ankle, not a sprain. I will be bringing the dogs back down here for the winter and will be working with several mushers around here. I will trying to get an Arctis Cart to run the dogs with down here. I set this up to help raise money for the cart.

I have some pretty wild ideas and plans coming up so keep checking in. I will also try to post an update here and there on my ankle.
